Foreclosure numbers climb again

The number of additional Colorado homes under foreclosure in February rose slightly from the month before, according to a new survey by Boca Raton, Fla.-based Foreclosure.com.

The company said 694 new foreclosures were filed last month, compared with 666 in Colorado in January and 1,136 in December.

Nationwide, according to the company, another 18,824 residential properties were foreclosed on in February, compared to 20,276 in January and 34,446 in December.

The number of new foreclosures typically drops at the beginning of the year.
